A group of spiritual activists concerned about climate change are calling for “a worldwide peaceful sit-in for the planet”: 24 hours of meditation that will begin at 8am Paris time on November 1st.

This is one of many global actions on climate change involving Buddhists in advance of CoP 21, the 21st Conference of Parties on Climate Change, which is being held in Paris from November 3oth to December 11th, including One Earth Sangha’s “Buddhist Declaration on Climate Change” and the speech on climate change by Ven. Bhikkhu Bodhi during the May 2015 gathering of Buddhists at the White House.
